Zonnetje in huis

(english version..scroll down please)
Zonnetje op je bord / sunshine on a plate

Doesn't this sunshine on a plate looks nice? It was delicious as well. Our daughter made this for lunch last weekend for the family, a recipe from the Barbie-cookbook. Sometimes the simple things are so enjoyable, especially when your children make them. Our son (8) immediately proclaimed himself the sous-chef, but in the end stayed workless and left for his Lego... his time will come.

Our daughter, just turned 11, is heading towards great changes the next year, she is leaving primary school and turns into a secundary education student. Just 1,5 day left this year, the musical was on stage last night (big hit!) A
nother milestone, a leap forward. Bagpack, schoolbooks (lots of them), new classmates, new teachers, new building, travelling by bus with one change, timetables, homework... our little (big) girl doens't worry about it too much, "I'll see" is what she tends to say. The mother is worried, her little girl pushed into the big bad world, how will she cope?... I just have to keep breathing, all will be alright in the end. I wish you all the best my lovely daughter!

I have warned our children for the dangers on the internet; don't use your real name, give personal information of any kind ecc. And when I wanted to place a photo of her here, I didn't get permission... In the end I was allowed to place this one... a bit of a blurr, face still a mystery... But still our sunshine in the house!

Why should she be worried ? I know, what you feel, I had that situation two years ago and I survived :-)

Oh my Lien! She's a beauty. Much as a hate to say it: your situation is just perfectly normal, you worry, she doesn't. It's the way it works.
Yes do take another deep breath.
I love both the sunshines!

Cute post. Eggs tend to be pale yellow where I'm from, unfortunately :(

Well Jude the eggs that you buy here in the shops are very light too most of the time. These are the eggs of our own small chickens, they are free range and eat a lot of grass and bugs and worms. This gives a very yellow/orange yolks. When I bake a cake or use yolks in ice cream the color gets quite yellow, because the colorpigments are very strong. (Some people even said that I photographed them wrong because of the color....)
