My all-time favorite must be this one:
As a picture it's not very good, I shot it with my very first, very cheap, very limited digital camera in 2005. The lighting is all wrong and it's much too white, but it was such a funny moment. I was trying to get a good shot of the cookies, when our little boy popped up from underneath the other side of the table with his hands stretched saying: "quick mom, or they'll all be gone!" (well he said it in dutch obviously!). Cheeky little cookie-monster!
But for the event I choose another photo that is just totally out of season, but never mind. I wanted to creat a "let it snow"-scene, but they kept falling down and breaking. Still this one gives sort of the idea :D.
I shot it last december to post about them, but then I baked so many things, I just didn't have the time. So they're on hold... for next december. A sneak preview so to speak. When I was young I was a girl scout for (just) 1 year... I guess I've been there long enough to still be prepared.
If I remember in december I made them, I'll post the recipe, if I still know where it is (lots of "íf"s here). For the time being you have to be satisfied with the picture alone.
So here it is Bee and Jai of Jugalbandi, my entry for this months Click!.
wow! how did you manage to take such a pic? I am impressed! :o)
ReplyDeletePure joyful beauty.
ReplyDeletethat expression on the little face is win all around.
ReplyDeleteLove the falling snowflakes! And your cookie monster is wonderful, too.
Both wonderful pictures Lien! Capturing the spirit in both.
ReplyDeleteLove your little cookie monster! The joy of youth.
ReplyDeletehaha, your little boy is too cute! I think it's hysterical that he just popped up to take some cookies! Smart boy. And your other photograph is absolutely stunning. Not only do the cookies look delicious, but the photograph itself is quite artistic. Sorry I've been away for the past week; I had a good friend in town and wasn't able to do much on the computer. I'm back now, though :)
ReplyDelete@ Astrid, a lot of patience and nylon string :D
ReplyDelete@ Tanna, Thanks!
@ Bee, he's always such a funny boy!
@ Lynn, thanks!
@ Baking Soda & Nat, thanks babes!
@ Thanks Elyse. Don't apologise for being absent. I know about busy times and we all have our 'normal life' next to blogging. So that's really alright. Good to see you though!
Congratulations for winning CLICK, such a lovely and creative shot.I loved the first photo, look at his face !
